There was an armed robbery attack in Ibadan on Thursday afternoon.
According to several reports, the attack was around Idi Ape area of Ibadan.
Passersby ran helter skelter as the robbers attacked a bullion van said to be carrying some cash.
According to some videos on Twitter, a police officer was shot and several others injured.
There has been report of insecurity in Ibadan for a while now with the governor addressing the situation.
This incident might spark another unrest in the State’s capital and the culprits would be hunt down.
As at the time of this reporting, security operatives were present at the location of the incident.
The robbery attack in Ibadan could urge the governor to make some decisions and address the security situation in the state.
Just a few months ago, students of University of Ibadan wrote to the governor regarding the security situation.
Although many people criticized the tone of the letter, others didn’t find any issue with it.
