The Milwaukee Bucks win the NBA Championship after 50 years of trying. The last time they won it was in 1971 when Kareem Al-Jabaar led the team to the title.
The Bucks were off to a great start in the first quarter as they led the Suns 29-16, but the Suns fought back in the second quarter by going on a 31-13 run to even the scores.
With the team looking to close out the series and clinch their first title in 50 years, the Bucks rallied back and made sure the Suns did not stretch their little lead.
The Suns and the Bucks traded turnovers all through the first half as the game got more intense, but as the nerves settled the players started to show what they are made of.
Giannis continued to dominate in the paint causing Ayton and Crowder trouble as they foul him, surprisingly Giannis was doing well at the free throw line compared to other nights.
The Bucks continued to dominate all through the end of the game as Booker and Chris Paul just couldn’t get the Suns going.
Giannis scored 50 points, just the 7th player to do that in NBA Finals history. He also had 5 blocks as he was intense on both ends of the floor.
The Bucks won the game 105-98 as Giannis Antetokounmpo who was injured before the finals overcame that obstacle to lead the team to their first title in 5 decades.
Nobody expected the Bucks would win the title, many even tipped the Suns to blow them out after they lost the first 2 games in Phoenix. Now Giannis can be mentioned among the greats in the NBA.
Just December 2020 he signed a new contract after getting drafted in 2013, now he has led the team to a championship after 50 years.
He has been ridiculed for not having skill or being able to score free throws, but he overcame the adversity and backlash to score 50 points in the most important game of his career. Something that will be remembered for a long time.
