Two time MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 40 points for the second game in a row to lift the team to victory this time. He scored 42 points in Game 2 but it was not enough to lift the team to victory as Middleton and Holiday scored 11 and 17 points respectively.
In game 3, Booker and Chris Paul just didn’t get going. It was like the Bucks that showed more urgency and intent, and they led the game for as much as 22 points at a time in the game.
Giannis once again scored 40+ points to be just the third player to score 40 points in back-to-back NBA Finals game after Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
Chris Paul and Devin Booker could only get 19 and 10 points in the game and it shows how bad the Suns played in their first away game. The Suns fans will be hoping their team put up a stronger fight in Game 4.
Unlike in Game 2, Giannis had a lot of help from Middleton who had 18 points while Jrue Holiday had 21 points to help the Bucks win the game 120-100. Now the Suns lead the series 2-1 as the Bucks try to even the series in Game 4.
Many have criticised the Bucks for being the most inconsistent team and going into Game 4 many might not be convinced they would be able to maintain this run to close out the series in 6.
Giannis is on the brink of winning the Finals MVP if his team goes ahead to win the championship, but they still have a long way to go. The spirit is high and Chris Paul and Booker would have to step up in the coming games to give their team a fighting chance.
