Nigerian singer Buju responds to social media critics over tweets he made in 2015 to 2017 about some Nigerian superstars.
Buju who made comments criticising the works of some top singers has responded saying he was a listener then.
The Akwa-Ibom born singer also claimed that he wasn’t making music then and now knows how difficult it is.
Social media users dug up some of his tweets where he criticised Wizkid’s Daddy Yo, Davido among others.
He also said if other music lovers were like him, Yemi Alade would not be a musician.

On Snapchat, singer Buju responds saying “Lol in 15/16/17, I didn’t know I was even gonna make music, I just used to listen and criticise”.
“Over the years I have grown to understand that receiving or consuming music is way easier than actually making music”.
“So if people think it is wise to criticise me over tweets from those years, it’s calm, its just joblessness sha”.
On Twitter he posted a video in response to the criticisms saying people can say whatever they want.
The singer who was signed to Burna Boy’s Spaceship Records became more popular in 2021.
He now has songs with the likes of Blaqbonez and Ladipoe which are topping charts so far.
The singer is now making songs with some of those he criticised like Wizkid and the likes.
