Chelsea lost the FA Cup title to Leicester City on Saturday, May 15, 2021 after fans were optimistic and hoping the team would win the FA Cup, finish top 4 and win the Champions League final against Manchester City.
However, after a defeat to Arsenal in the league and the FA Cup defeat to Leicester City, fans are now beginning to have a rethink that the team might not be as strong as they imagined.
Since joining Chelsea, Tuchel has played 27 matches and won 17, drawn 6 and lost 4 matches so far. Some players have been outstanding like Mendy, Rudiger, Mount, Reece James among others. With the form the team was, fans were filed with confidence and it was difficult to defeat them.
Enroute the Champions League final, the Blues had to overcome Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid while conceding only one goal.
As it is now, the season of the Blues could come crashing down. The fans are not as confident as they were before and the players and coach now need to dig deeper to be able to get back in form just in time for the UCL final.
With that loss to Leicester City, Tuchel will have to go all out to at least secure top 4 before going for the Champions League final.
Manchester City on the other hand have won the EPL title and only just have to play to keep fit ahead of the Champions League final with the players already thinking about the final and Aguero playing his last game before joining Barcelona at the end of the current season.
It is still in Chelsea’s hands as they can still win their remaining games including the Champions League final but no conspiracy theory or imagination can hand it to them, the players have to do the work on the pitch.
