Aubameyang to Barcelona was not a move many people would have seen coming even though he already had a strained relationship with Arteta at Arsenal.
Barcelona have had issues especially financial since the beginning of the season which saw Leo Messi move for free to PSG.
However, with the new CEO Mateu Alemany running things, the club has seen some new recruitments.
Recruitments that have excited a lot of Barcelona fans already ahead of the second half of the season.
Barca are already out of the title race as it seems, but they can still get into the top 4 if they get their acts together.
Barcelona’s transfer headache
Ousmane Dembele seems to have been the biggest headache for Barcelona this winter as he is yet to sign an extension.
With Barcelona having a tight purse, Dembele continued to demand higher wages even though some have taken a pay cut.
That didn’t stop Barcelona from going on a signing spree in January.
First they got Ferran Torres from Manchester City and Adama Traore on loan from Wolves.
They also got Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a surprise move from Arsenal.

What to expect
Aubameyang to Barcelona is for goals to be scored and nothing more.
This season, he has scored 4 goals in 14 games for Arsenal before the move.
He will now be saddled with the responsibility of leading Barcelona from the front.
Aubameyang is a proven goalscorer, so fans will be expecting a lot of goals.
With the likes of Depay and Torres on the wings, he should get a lot of service.
He will also get back-up from Luuk De Jong who seems to be getting into form recently.
Xavi has not gotten consistent success as expected, and with these signings he will want to make a statement.
Only time will tell if Aubameyang will deliver what is expected at the end of the season.
