Arsenal defeat Leicester City as Smith-Rowe and Aubameyang celebrate Gunners' second goal

Arsenal defeat Leicester City as they continue their impressive run of games so far.

Arteta’s team have not lost in their last 9 games drawing only two games out of 9.

This game was to be their biggest test yet and they passed in flying colors.

The Gunners opened the scoring in the 5th minute through a Gabriel header.

The team moved with intent and did not let the Foxes have any time on the ball at all.

Minutes later, Smith-Rowe was in the right position to slot the ball past Schmiechel in the 18th minute of the game.

Leicester continued to look for opportunities but they could not produce too many in the half.

In the second half, Leicester came with more intent and anticipation but they just couldn’t break through.

Arsenal continued to remain tight at the back as they tried to get a hold of the game.

For the first time in a while, Arsenal fans were loud and singing as their team cruised to victory.

Not many expected to see Arsenal defeat Leicester City as some fans of Leicester left the stadium before the final whistle.

Arsenal are now 5th on the table with 17 points and 5 points behind leaders Liverpool.

Ramsdale pulled a man-of-the-match performance with a series of saves to keep Arsenal in the game.

Kelechi and Vardy kept testing him but he stood his ground and protected the goalpost.

It seems Arteta is gradually getting a hang of this team and has no excuse this time around.
